Romans 6-7 [NLT]

i dont really have much to say about this passage. i dont really know what to think, there was alot of talk about the law and about sin. a bunch of verses stood out to me today about sin. Nothing really stirred my heart while reading today.

“Do not let sin control the way you live, do not give in to sinful desires.” – Romans 6:12. do not give into sinful desires. thats probably the hardest part for everybody, and sometimes what can be qualified as sin and what cant be qualified as sin. for people who believe in God, Jesus and the whole shebang, well what is right and wrong is clearly laid out, and even then there are some grey areas. for those who are non-christians, and for the unbelievers, well what is sin to them? nothing, it may just be something they do every single day, something that is completely normal to them, and they just dont think twice about it. hmm just a though.

so use your whole body as in instrument to do what is right for the glory of God.” – Romans 6:13. use not just your mind, not just your hands, but every single part of your body must be used to glorify God. EVERY SINGLE PART.

“And i know that nothing good lives in me, that is in my sinful nature. I want to do what is right, but i can’t. I want to do what is good, but i don’t. i don’t want to do what is wrong, but i do it anyway. But if i do what i don’t want to do, i am not really the one doing wrong; it is sin living in me that does it.” – Romans 7:18-20 i guess something that i dont understand is well we have control of our own actions. if you want to do something, then why dont you do it? if you feel like you shouldnt do something? don’t do it, i guess sometimes we aren’t strong enough, so we need God’s grace and God’s power, but, in the end, its My decision what i want to do or not, its up to me. hmmm im confused.
